I don't know about You
But I get innovative.

May I present to you my first (and probably last!) webcam photo shoot over Skype
with long time friend fashion photographer in Aussie, David Yeow.

Photobucket

Theme aptly dubbed, 'My Sunday Secret.'
(In tribute to Postsecret, which I relish, almost weekly.)

Photobucket

There's just something about being an emotional voyeur.

Photobucket

As nothing pleases more than getting to eat all yours sea shallow thoughts,

Photobucket

While you watch me swallow mine.

Photobucket

Words are defenceless in the face of our secret loves and lifetimes, Soulmates ago.
I've just settled to be the best of Us while dying with the rest of us.

What's your Sunday secret?

And with that, our annual photo shoot tradition is kept! :)
Check out some of the past year shots here, here and a full post of pictures here, if you fancy :)

Photobucket

If you were wondering how this constitutes as a shoot, these were not screen shots, they were really photographed over  Skype on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Also, feel welcome to witness an Architect dripping fashion photography finesse at freshly launched

Holiday with Shanghai Babies (Pt1)

SHANGHAI DAY 1

Our group of 14 arrived at Grand Hyatt, The Bund, by late afternoon after a 5 hour flight.

Photobucket

No jet-lag due to the matching time zone and was super excited to pop my Shanghai Siew Long Pau!
(Terrible pun intended)

Photobucket

Was too early for dinner so we had an noontime nibble at Tea Room.

Photobucket

Pork Everything - The liberties Chinese will not take for granted when out of Malaysia.

As you can see, Dimps and I were loafer and leggings ready for a leisurely vacation.

Photobucket

A quiet tea session in a quaint place at the hotel was a great start.

Photobucket

I loved the beautiful piano.
My single house mate loved the beautiful pianist ;)

Shot of the view from allocated and upgraded 'Party Room' two of the guys shared.

Photobucket

The party.

Photobucket

FYI - Partying in Shanghai is awesome but alcohol is pretty pricey.
So make sure you abuse duty free (and your stunning rooms with views!)

Also, abuse mirrors.

Photobucket

Dinner was within a mall at M2 Hong Kong Metropolis at Huangpu.

Photobucket

There is a nice family restaurant on the 5th floor with a Chinese name I can't type so the guide told me to call it Shanghai Chic.

Photobucket

And the private room was chic indeed.
Brought our own bottles and had an impossible amount of food to document in hunger.

Photobucket

But of course, I made an exception for my first soup dumplings of the trip!

Photobucket

*am nam nam nam*
Good but not roadside-kick-you-in-the-nuts-great.

To digest we head for a 40 minute river cruise from, where to where, it was hard to tell exactly due to the sheer stream of never-ending buildings that make the city's skyline so iconic.

Photobucket

To me everything just looked so sparkly!

Photobucket

And due to the weather, almost Gotham City-like.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Below is my favourite building that night because the 2 globes had world maps on it.

Photobucket

And we also saw the equivalent of Pimp My Ride - River Edition.

Photobucket

So by the end I was bright light giddy

Photobucket

I had no river sickness though I recommend you bring necessary medication if you are sensitive because some of the tours can go up to 2-3 hours.

But definitely skip the heels.
Our boat's floor was lined with holey plastic that all the girl's stilettos got stuck in.

By the end of the river cruise, I think we were all happy to be back on our 'Booze-mobile' :)

Photobucket

And also happy with our souvenirs!

Photobucket

They sell plenty by the tour docks.
Make sure you bargain and check if it works before paying!
Shanghai is still China ;)

It was around 11pm when we finished so it was a perfect time to head to Les Suites Orient's elite club at 12 Zhong Shang Dong Er road.

Photobucket

Within, you'll find Horizen lounge on the 22nd floor.

Photobucket

It's a more laid back club for locals more than tourists.
Even if there were celebrities, I wouldn't have known *shrugs*

Photobucket

What I did know was I liked that our table was next to the window.

Photobucket

We reserved a table prior to ensure a prime spot of Friday.
And trust exclusive clubs to charge you like RM20 for water to mix your whisky with.

Photobucket

Quite a nice spot to start the night but by 12.30am I was all yips and yawns.

Photobucket

2 of us couples tapped out together, at the mockery of the rest of the group.

Photobucket

Frankly, we were running while we still could :)
Hailing a cab was easy enough.

Photobucket

Shanghai cabs have plastic shields around the drivers and cute interactive screen for you to play with advertisements instead of just watching em'.

Photobucket

We hit Family Mart which was walking distance from Park Hyatt.
And eating beef noodles in our PJ's was a perfect :)

Photobucket

SHANGHAI DAY 2

Our central Shanghai good morning view.

Photobucket

First stop after Grand Hyatt's buffet breakfast was to visit the worlds longest shopping district..

Photobucket

..Nanjing Road!

Over 6km long, I came bravely in wedges and I regret that decision in retrospect.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Everyone had been there prior so we just strolled and waved..

Photobucket

And shopped for miscellaneous items some forgot to pack like..

Photobucket

..Hello Kitty aviators and shampoo!
(Pharmacy brand shampoo's are cheaper in China so buy it there, don't pack and risk a sticky suitcase!)
Other than that, shopping wasn't great as I was unfamiliar with their brands and the ones I recognized were not cheaper than buying in Malaysia.

Oh, the irony of not shopping in The Shanghai shopping district.

Our highlight was still stumbling on Henderson Metropolitan..

Photobucket

..and getting an awesome place to rest :)

Photobucket

Yes, you see correctly.
That's the World Record Largest Chair covering 2 storey at 6.8m high and 7.7m wide!

Photobucket

And it made us look like characters from Jack and the Beanstalk!
Lucky us, the giant chair was launched right before we happened to visit early September.

Will post the rest of the trip soon as all the awesomeness can't possibly squeeze into a single blog entry.
Hope it was as fun to view for you as it was as fun for me to post!

Nights Out@Hennessy Artistry 2012, Kenanga Wholesale City, KL!

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

I survived a 6am day trip photo shoot in Kampar and managed to rush back looking like this..

Photobucket

A sufficient look for Hennessy Artistry at KWC, no? :)
But isn't that the new wholesale mall at Jalan Gelugor?
Well, you wouldn't be able to tell.

Photobucket

The 15th floor was slicked up for the massive event!
Inclusive of red carpets, main lounge, free flow Henessy cocktails and this Camera 360 booth.

Photobucket

We were waiting for our very large entourage, so what the heck.

Photobucket
[Lye, Eng, Brie, Dimple]

Can't wait for the video to be out on Henessy Malaysia FB.
We went all 'Gangnam' in our picture video ;)

There was also a hugr screen showing the ever so important club gender balance.

Photobucket

Guess it was ideal for the 45 percentile :)
But if quality counted for anything, I think we got the best of Thailand because Pae was in town!

Photobucket

[Credits to Jackie Chang for the photo]

A dozen kisses on the cheeks later, it was time to head in to our respective Zones!

Photobucket

Started my night in VIP Zone O with Shanghai kaki's..

Photobucket

...and sipped (shot) my fav club cognac to the great line up.

Photobucket

Glamdolls, Hennessy and music - What more could a Saturday be made of?

Photobucket

[John, Brie, Joon, Tiffany, Jady, Ju Nn]

Funny how it feels like everyone you know is there but guess the people are the party in KL!

Photobucket

Bass Agents then came on and I HAD to get into the front stage 'Celeb' zone.
*snap*
Got there :)

Photobucket

Lovin' their dope head gear.
Would love to have taken a shot with it :(

Oh well, settled for shots with these loves.

Photobucket

[Brigette Liberty, Andrea Ong, Loreal and Jennifer Foh]

And caught up with just about everyone!

Photobucket

And of course, for the act everyone came out to see, EVA SIMONS stole the show.

Photobucket

But he still stole my heart ;)

Photobucket

Cheers, Hennessy Malaysia, for another amazing party!
For those who missed it, there is still 1 more Hennessy Artistry this 2012
so LIKE this to keep looped :)
