JAWLINE BOTOX: Poison, inject me, Baby! *UPDATED*

Monday, July 23, 2012

So, I finally did it.
No, not the nose job you've petitioned me to get in private messages on Facebook.

I finally got Botox for my masseter/jaw muscle!
My jaw muscle is bulky from years of constant gum chewing and clenching from troubled sleep.
But my face is considerably sharp and the jaw muscle doesn't look as big as it feels, so I'm realistic about the possible results. And for me, it's just one of those things you think about so much until you either gotta stop thinking of or just get it done with.

So after 3 years of thinking about it and exhausting all less evasive means with success,
I still decided to do it.
Heard it makes no real difference, but numbing cream? I insist :)

My masseter is pretty strong so I was advised to get 30cc of botox on each side.
That required 6 injections of 10cc in total *dies* but I was assured the new 'Painless Botox' was true to it's name.

I utterly dislike needles and felt ant like bites during my past forehead sessions.
However, I felt almost NOTHING at all this time round!

*Ok Brie, clench, unclench, 5, 10, done*

So much so, I could even camwhore after the first stab.

Super recommend Bangsar Nara Medispa's Doctor Nasri for his magic hands and constantly updated techniques.
Can tell why he's Datuks & Datins choice :)
Didn't know they did much Botox because they are specialized in Laser Liposuction & skin treatments so I just had to try it with them.

Full results within 2 weeks.
 Will update you then, loves.

P.S - First foray with forehead Botox here for those new to the idea of muscle relaxants.
Not saying it's good or bad but I find it compliments me and my overly stressed lifestyle.
Mom tells me to relax instead. I asked her wheres the logic in that ;)

****************POST 2 WEEKS UPDATE!****************

Sorry, it's the only shots I have from the front profile one day before and 14 days after of 30cc botoxulin on both sides of my masseter.

Speaks for itself so there's the verdict! :)

Only trust my face with the best, and by the way, this is non sponsored, in case you were wondering if my opinion is bought. I have a full time job and then some so no, you can't buy my stamp of approval ;p

I chat, you chat, WECHAT in Malaysia!

Sunday, July 01, 2012

Ever found yourself wishing there was just one phone app that can Message,
Voice and Video Call in a user friendly platform and better yet for FREE?

Well, I never knew I did :)

Was invited for the WECHAT Glitz and Glam launch in Velvet, and even though I was sick like a poisoned puppy for the last week, I made a point to stop by.
New social media tool, I'm such a tool for!

It was hosted quite appropriately by Malaysian social media queen Leng Yein and filled with tons of the bloggerati friends like Chammaine Tan and Mike Yip!

Me, Leng Yein and a WECHAT Malaysia rep sandwiched by WECHAT ambassador Felixia Yeap and an AVAST ambassador for some photo wall lovin'

SUMMARY - AVAST software has an all new version and protects over 150 million active users worldwide. In addition to that, their official distributor, APAC Venture, announced a collaboration with China's Tencent to launch WECHAT in Malaysia.

Explaining why everyone was there to looksie looksie :)
Also caught up with Careen and Isabelle!

The event had lots of activities that, unfortunately, I failed to participate or appreciate due to my cough and slight fever.

*sad face*

But even as I blew the joint early, I was so busy fiddling with my newly downloaded WeChat,
I could have easily added ankle sprain from toppling down the step to my list of predicaments.

Things I dig about WECHAT?
1. From the second I downloaded and synch-ed with Facebook, I had dozens of friends.
2. Can text, group chat, voice and video call, FREE.
3. 'Moments' which allows you to take/edit photos to send or add to an album.
4. Super fun Emoticons with a wider range of expressions fr say, Whatsapp? :P

5. QR code available to chat without sharing actual HP number.
6. Easy way to add friends nearby by simple shaking your phone. (I de-activated mine though for safety reasons lol)

And my favourite feature is...

6. The possibility of meeting new people around the world at random by throwing a 'bottle in the sea'.

Mad fun and free advertising :)

FYI, WeChat was ranked NO.1 in Itunes Store under 'Top Free Apps' so don't be surprised to see EVERYONE on it already ;)

Consider the bar for free Iphone apps, raised!
Download your's today and get chattin'

Hope for once my blog has been current and informative.
Once in a while I do step out of the unreality to get a breath of fresh air ;)

Ending with a pointless picture of how long my hair is getting as I contemplate what to do with it.

Have fun WECHAT-ing all!

SUNDAY SHARE: Sunshine Escapism.

Here's a shot of US in Phuket for a wedding in May.
Works been crazy since then and looking at happier times does offer some kind of comfort.

Still, we could use another holiday.
And our 4 day Shanghai trip is only in September!
Escapism is my guilty pleasure indeed.
Happier Sunday Pillowtalkers.
