Get ‘Back to Nature’ Beautiful in Malaysia.

As the end of February approaches...
Photobucket

Curiosity gets the better of this cat and I must ask:

Are all your resolutions broken yet? ;)

I myself try to avoid the excitement then disappointment of making New Year resolutions
and choose to cultivate good habits instead.

 Photobucket

My latest 'habit' is to go natural and organic where I can.
Not because I’ve gone all healthy or worse yet, hipster!

Photobucket

(Meh?)

So no, it's not because I'm a health nut or hipster
It’s because I want to know what I’m putting in and on my body.

Granted I don’t speak manufacturer which sounds like elfish to most
I much rather use a brand I know has build their entire foundation on using wholesome and natural ingredients.
Super plus that the back of its products seem a lot more comprehensible.

 Photobucket

Photobucket

And currently, this available in Malaysia brand tops my au naturelle skincare list...

Photobucket

Went for their launch at The Mines Shopping Mall and here are some shots along with other bloggers there to support darl’ Belle’s venture.

Photobucket

Located on the 2nd floor of the Mines Shopping Centre next to Watson, you can't miss it!

Photobucket

Thanks for introducing me to the brand Isabelle!

Photobucket

What I like most is Back To Natures  huge variety of organic soaps to pick from depending on your skin type.

Photobucket

And  amongst it, I finally found the 'African Black Soap' all the western health sites are raving about!

Photobucket

Reading this Back to Nature sign made me realize I could have been using animal fat on my skin this whole time.
*grosses out*
Well no more!
Say NO to animal fat and a big shea buttery YES to organic options :))

Photobucket

Aside from Bath Salts, there were Bath Melts.
Reminds me so much of the kind they provide in most high end villas.

Photobucket

Also, I super amused by their problem specific wellness oils among so many of their products.

Photobucket

Last but not least, they come in hampers too!
Now what sister/mom/cousin/auntie/girlfriend/teacher/colleague wouldn't like to receive that? :)

Photobucket

Being there and seeing all the options I could have made me wonder why absolutely Everyone is jumping on going organic with their skincare.

Personally, I’ve been using natural soap for my face after my Sothy’s Comforting milk, as a second cleanser, before I toner up and I’m lovin’ it.

Best part is the options!

Photobucket

Tried Chinese Bamboo and Honey which leaves my skin all plush

I’ve also been using one of their body soaps that is supposed to help with a problem I have post gym due to trapped sweat; Mild back blemishes!

Photobucket

The Green Tea and Loofah has little bits of scrub in it that lightly exfoliates and seems to lasts forever.

 Photobucket

Thought it looked odd initially, but after 2 weeks I can say my back blemish problem was COMPLETELY solved!

*trumpets blow*
*bare back top comes on*
*confetti*

And I even carry Back to Nature's Shea Butter body moisturizer 'SNUGGLE ME' when I need to sheen up last minute for events.

Photobucket

(Me rushing to Hennessy NYX launch at Vertigo and glossing up the gams in the car)

 Photobucket

As you can see, SNUGGLE ME gives off a nice glow without the gloss and has a very fresh 'spa' like mint smell I never knew I'd like more than the through the mill girly scent.

And because I liked their natural scents so much, I tried out their range of body and massage oils.

Mine is aptly named 'Stress be Gone!'

 Photobucket

Find myself sniffing it at work and rubbing it behind my ears most days since I go to spas for massages ;p

Photobucket

Loved that I got to try a lot of Back to Nature's ranges but that said, there is more still I need to get my shea buttered hands on!
So, if you are close to me, expect some organic gifting from me this year.

Photobucket

You can get 'Back to Nature' beautiful at The Mines Shopping Centre and Viva.
Or be lazy like me and BUY IT HERE at

A LIKE for an all organic brand in Malaysia makes a daisy smile.

Commitment Confessions and Consistent Contentment.

Saturday, February 25, 2012

I've always had a problem with Commitment, I confess. And in more ways than the way you are assuming, naturally. Yet as a functionally disordered, I worked my Life around this condition of mine for as long as I could until it failed me.

I picked a career that can only be different from day to day and juggled several of such. I had a wardrobe so big I never knew what to wear and found new things to covet constantly. And I practiced serial monogamy at my best and digressed from there when even that became too routine. Four years saw me before I mentally maxed out on all the inconsistency.

Saying that now, I will still tell you I loved every moment of it. Frankly, I may never find anything quite so miserably delicious. When your inability to see things through gets you to see so much more, you're blinded just by sight. On my four year voyeur voyage, I was amongst my own, expressing our desires to defile Always in many a different ways. Justly, when the worlds we live in now spins so fast, so consistently so, how can WE be expected to want to stay the same?

But back to the part where it failed me; It failed me. I don't remember the details, but it was the details that failed to nail everything I believe I wanted to everything I innately needed to become. And I came to want to need the Everyday. I needed to walk to where the ground did not look as psychedelically green to see what grass would feel like under my feet. And it's so easy on the other side, I don't know how I could ever tire of walking forward in this Simplicity.

Even in the throes of youth, I always knew I would have to find an axis to my madness. But know that wanting something that lasts and making something last is the difference between the actuality. I'd still say I have a commitment problem (My boss think it's A.D.D!) But really, to deny it would have me a Liar so yes, I still have my days when living in the confines of structure makes me feel like I am mentally vegetating. But I've made choices that help me deal with my inability to commit or simply stay still, and I'd like to think that by doing so I am slowly becoming what I do.

I aspire to be someone who can stay happy, in the very same place. Because really, if you can't then it does not matter where you walk, you won't know that what you are looking for is where your feet fall. Will update you when I succeed in changing my own mind about commitment and consistency. You must confess, that would make me a really good marketeer indeed ;)

SHOOT: Bedroom Dalliance with David Yeow.

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

A Strangers Bedroom Dalliance.

Let us start as strangers, feign what's familiar
or sell the idea of what  the other wants to see.

Photobucket

But we can't lie forever in this bounce,
as we can only sleep in a bed of what we innately are and only can be.

Photobucket

Now let us become friends as we learn to know our boundaries.
When one holds...

Photobucket

..and when one flees.

Photobucket

Then when that's done with, let us become confidantes
and stare together at the stars of a sky we hold privy.

Photobucket

Even if we only are leading ourselves on,
wishfully.

Photobucket

But eventually, let us become good friends
who will come to know another,
almost fully.

Photobucket

Shot in my bedroom, standing or sitting on my bed on New Years Eve.
It was my 5th annual shoot with Australian architect and Fashion Photog
and longest friend*

If you have a liking for whimsy high fashion editorial like portraiture and photography,
your welcome :)

*Due to the catty nature of girls and I-want-to-sleep-with-you nature of men, I am very strict on this definition 'Friendship' and although social, I have lots of acquaintances, not friends. If this makes me a snob then I am a snob because I have no space for lousy people in general. Tough luck backstabbers! :P

Saturday, February 04, 2012

So as mentioned in my past post, PETRONAS is hosting a photo contest in conjunction with their Chinese New Year 'Coming Home' video campaign I wrote about!

I think everyone can and should join because

1. You already have a bunch of gorgeous Chinese New Year shots
by now.
2. It's seriously super straight forward and EASY.

And because I'm all for turning photo's into $$$,
I'm going to be a trooper and walk you through, Okie? :)

STEP 1: Go to PETRONAS OFFICIAL FB and LIKE.

Photobucket

STEP 2: After you click ENTER at the bottom of that page and accept the needed,
you will be READY TO WIN!

Here are the foolproof instructions.

Photobucket

The theme is 'Reimgining Energy' which is a very subjective.
Here is what Dato Mohammad Medan, PETRONAS Senior General Manager of Group Corporate Affairs Division, had to say about the theme

“Energy is everywhere, in everything we do, and especially at this time. It could be the excitement and the bonding during the reunion dinner, or it could be the hustle and bustle of shopping for and decorating the home. It could even be a portrait of the wise grandfather of the family, or a picture of the lanterns that light up our cities”

Since you probably have a 'Reimagining Energy' photo already select the category it comes under, depending on what you used to take it and if you are indeed a schooling, still in Uni or a staff.

My Sony Nex 3 is semi pro so I'm jus clicking Amateur ;)

Photobucket

After that, check out the rest of the competition and also stand a chance to win RM288.00 daily from friends LIKES!

Photobucket

However, keep your eyes on the bigger prizes.
And here they are!

Photobucket

Can win RM2000 from mobile phone pictures?!@#%^
I'm having a #whydoweevenbuyprofessionalcamera moment.

But it passed ;P

Going to snap my photo today then submit tomorrow.
If you have submitted or are going to, remember to add your link here!
May the best Pillowtalker win!

Inevitable Confession.

Thursday, February 02, 2012

I'm not one for non-cryptic personal sharing
(Real talking away from the safety of goose feather pillowcases are not my forte)
But since some of you have followed me over 4 blogs and 2 social networks over 10 years,
I'm going to try to break it down for you;

Photobucket

Since I started my full time job marketing supercars, I foresaw this happening.
And I'm almost too embarrassed to admit it, now that it has happened.

I'm down to a blog post a week and I'm wondering if this is It.

I could end here, this my goodbye, and end our permanent mental vaycay sunning in Unreality on Epiphany Isle.
It's quieter now indeed but keep in mind that just because it's quiet, doesn't mean nothing is in the works.
This applies for my FB Emcee/Model/Writer page (That recently hit 2000 likes over my birthday! TQ!) and of course my longest lasting verbal habitat of 3 years, pillowtalkpromises.blogspot.com

So I hope you've missed me enough to await the comeback ;)
