If you are not one of the 100,000+ fans of Revive on Facebook, then you are missing out on some of the most consumer consuming campaigns in the whole of Malaysia.

And when I say whole I'm not referring to our country as a matter of speech.
Revive's latest 6 week contest is turning each state to it's own devices with
REV CUP - Battle of the states!

Photobucket

Win RM1000 if you have the highest points weekly
Win RM5000 if you have the most points after 6 weeks.
Win RM5000 if you get voted the best video after 6 weeks.
and an additional 8 people will be winning RM3000 each for category awards after the 6 weeks!

*The participants of the state the previous weeks winner comes from, will be awarded 1 autmatic point that week! *

JEBUS-CHISNAN-GHANDI-SANTACLAUS.

That's a lot of moolah for camwhore creativity and it is awesome that Revive spends it on their customers instead of an extra full page advertorial in The Star.
(That cost's RM30,000 btw)

So..........................

I liked the photo manipulation by space however, I felt that though they we're cool pictures they were nothing more than cool meaningless pictures.

So, I made sure to add a tagline to mine.

Eating out the palm of my hand ;)
Not the most creative of picture manipulation but along with the tagline it is very Brie, I know! Hehe
Shot by my bestie an hour ago at Buffalo Kitchen in Bangsar with my Dimplehead, the unwilling participant.

Make sure to submit your own on REVIVE CUP and leave a link in my comments and I will like right back!

See you on the Rev Cup Battle Playground for the last week of the REV CUP!
1k for a picture, why not?

iPhone 4 'Inspired' Powerless Amplifier.

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

I didn't know that I had a 'Panda Production' until I paid my over smiling phone salesperson at Digital Mall in PJ.
It's an exact replicate of the iPhone Bone Horn Stand made by Fruitshop International that has become a cult craze in US for Iphone4 gadget junkies and was even sold on Urban Outfitters.

So, here is my new iPhone4 speaker!

Where are the wires you ask?
NON EXISTANTE!

The iPhone Bone Horn Stand is the gramaphone of our day and age as it was smartly designed to amplify your volume sans any power thus saving your battery life in the process too!

Photobucket

Inspired by Gramaphones that have been around since 1887!

It can amp it up to 12-13 decibels of sound pressure.
Don't know what 1 decibels sounds like? Neither do I.
But they show you in this video exactly what to expect! :)

For you to listen to your gardening jams?
LOL. More like to listen to your music in the shower and during picnics since it's uber portable and you won't be likely to get any electrical cords there!

So purchase one of these nifty Bone Horn stands on Cyberguys.com for 24USD or IpMart for about RM60 if you are in Malaysia.
Comes in Green, Grey, White and Black.

Otherwise, you can pretend you didn't read this and didn't know it was 'Made in China' and buy it in Yellow, Brown, Red, Orange and White at  one of the shops facing the lifts (I think 2nd floor) at Digital Mall for RM35*

Photobucket

*I got a RM5 discount coz I pretended to bargain in Cantonese and it was so bad the guy said
'I give U cheep cheep if you stop.'

 *dies*

TUU TUU TUU TUU!

Photobucket

Oh ya, it also can stand on the side like this so you can watch videos with ease! :)

JazFresh Food Review@Drinks Cafe.

In Sri Petaling by any chance?
Well, Helenness and I were, much to Sri Petaling-ite Michelle's delight!
So, we decided to check out the new IT place for some bites and booze....

Photobucket

....Drinks Cafe!

Photobucket

It's set up in a sports bar cum eatery manner with a big screen at the back everyone can view.

Here are some of the YUMS we had!

Photobucket

1. Lamb Shoulder with Mint Sauce, RM29.90.

A bit dry for my taste so I had to ply on the mint sauce for the perfect flavorsome chew.

Photobucket

2. Grilled Saba Fish, RM15.90

My absolute favourite!
A lightly marinated lump of Saba that YOU MUST ORDER.
I really do love my lean proteins :)

Photobucket

3. Smoke Duck with Special Sauce, RM29.90.

Great texture but a touch too salty.
Ask them to reduce if you fear water retention like me.

Photobucket

4. Pasta Aglio Olio Seafood, RM17.90.

Neither creamy or tasty. Plus they don't have tabasco.
U are forewarned.

Photobucket

5. Paper-wrapped Pasta Aglio Olio with Bacon, RM13.90.

Tastier than their seafood pasta and probably due to the wrapping technique I've been seeing around lately. Ask for extra creamy and more bacon!

Photobucket

6. Famous Claypot Loo Shi Fun, RM9.90

For what their pasta's lacked their Loo Shi Fun made up for in folds! UBER YUM.
Extra chilla padi FTW :)

Photobucket

7. Sandwiches, RM5.90-RM7.90

They cover egg to chicken ham for a nice nibble for your health.

Photobucket

8. Tempura Seafood, RM15.90

And they also have a variety of tempura for a nicer nibble for your tastebuds ;)

All this would go perfectly with..

Photobucket

Refreshing Fruit Juices , RM5.90 - RM7.90.

Photobucket

Espresso, RM6.50.

Photobucket

But mostly with a pint of JazFresh!

Inspired by the German style beer brewing tradition,
the natural-gentle carbonisation complements the aroma with a pleasant bitterness.

A keg goes for RM118++ and it to be be enjoyed with friends!

Screen Words 5: Strangers Again.

Monday, May 16, 2011

As most of you already know, this video amassed millions of views on YOUTUBE within a week of it's creation and it's easy to see why. Anyone who has been in a relationship can relate to it.
Watching it, I could see at least a million weepy teens rewatching it 30 times and crying, thinking they can die of heart break (Not brilliant but we have all been there).

Which is why though I find it well composed, it somehow didn't really pull any chords with Me who has been there, done that, went back, did it again, again, again, again...

Till this part that is.

[11min20sec]

" Our lives will continue on in different directions toward the inevitable end, becoming strangers again. And everything we shared will just become fragmented memories, from so long ago I'll question if it really happened.  And all that will be left is this, a box of random stuff from a faded period of time when this stranger, was the most important person in my life."

I can't count on my fingers the 'most important' people who used to be in my life that would take my longer than I'd like to admit to name. I've loved some of the things they did and hated others, but ultimately you can't love or hate someone you don't know anymore. They just are and what you had just was.

As jaded and depressing as it sounds, the upside is that there are plenty more strangers on the sidewalk,
almost as many as there are fishes in the sea.
And all you have to do is take a walk or go for a swim :)

Peeing Vitamins, Again.

Monday, May 09, 2011

It just dawned on me the other day that the year which I fell sick the most was the year I stopped eating fresh fruits. I can't explain it, but after years of loving fresh produce I just developed a loss of palatte for cold, moist enzyme-y chunks in my mouth (Happens).

But this year has been way  better since I started juicing! Made me decide that if I can find new ways to swallow what I can't chew, what are a few extra pills in the mix?

300 Ringgit worth to be exact.
So, here it is!
.
.
.
.

BAM!

Here is WHAT I got and WHY I got it :))

Caltrate 600+D - Big concerns for me are the lack of Calcium because I've been psycho'd to believe dairy causes cancer, thus aside from cheese and chocolate I take no dairy. And with a family history of osteoperosis, I decided to stock up on bone density prior to 30's when you stop storing calcium!

Kordel'a Gingko Bilobo 2500 - It's a herb and I've been tempted to try because apparently it helps increase libido in women. Ok, not because of that eventhough it may be true ;) I'm taking Gingko because it helps with general blood circulation (Particularly to the brain) and it also contains compounds that that help with metabolism and the neutralization of free radicals.

Blackmores Multivitamins+Minerals - Wanted a B-complex but figured multivits already have them so I might as well get a cocktail combo with high enough Everything from the entire B-complexes to Folic Acid.

Also, I bought a pill box to help me organize my legal pill poppin'

My kittens asked me the same thing I asked myself.
'Why your new pill box so ugly Brie?'

I told them it serves it's purpose and I thought that since it was the only one there I could bling it up with diamante myself.
Till I discovered the surface wasn't flat because...

It has braille inscriptions on it for the blind or very old who obviously have more things to worry about than a borin' ol pill box sticking out of their handbags :(

But since I'm neither blind nor old, I'm looking for a new one!

Anyhow, glad I'm finally getting my health back on track!
Well, that is if you believe your body actually digests supplements.
Otherwise, I just found more vitamins to pee :)

XOXO YOURDAILYBRIE
